Hands down, without a doubt, Champlain College. UoP is for-profit, meaning they are in it for the money, not the education. Employers look down on for-profit schools, such as, UoP, ITT Tech, and DeVry. Resumes usually get red-flagged or graduates of said schools get hired on as cheap labor.
I almost went to a for-profit school (DeVry), and they were relentless on getting me in and keeping me in. I withdrew on the first day because after consulting with many people, I learned how a degree from DeVry is worthless. I know try to keep other prospective students from falling into the for-profit trap.
After reading up on Champlain, they sound pretty good for a private, non-profit college. They are fully accredited by a governing body that is recognized by the US Dept. of Education. They have campuses in Canada, Ireland, and India. And they also have a high rank from U.S. News and World Report’s guide to U.S. Colleges and Universities.
Take the sure thing. You will be better off in the end. Good luck.

To be honest I know nothing about Champlain College, it appears they are regionally accredited but I would ask an advisor if the online programs are also regionally accredited (just because the school is doesn’t mean all of their programs are). Their degrees offered online seem particulary based in business and computer systems. I finished my master’s with the University of Phoenix, what major are you considering? Some schools really have strengths in particular areas over others and do have weaker programs in different fields. University of Phoenix can be intense and you have to make sure your learning team members don’t take advantage of you, but the school itself is one of the leaders in online education. It certainly does take a different teaching approach and classroom format in order to have successful online environments and University of Phoenix understands this.
Overall, I wouldn’t say one is better than the other since I only know about one but in general if they are regionally accredited and have the program you want… you need to decide which one better suits you.
